Blessed with River Yamuna at her banks, Delhi has continuously been inhabited by many rulers since the 6th century BC. Then after the rise of the Delhi Sultanate, the city emerged as a major commercial, political and cultural city. Since ages Delhi has been ruled by different rulers and every ruler to the throne has built his own structures.
