How to reach Macau
Since Macau is closely located to Hong Kong (about 60km to be specific), it is preferred to reach here via Hong Kong. You can either take the ferry or helicopter to/fro Macau. Helicopter is a 15 minutes flight while ferry takes around one sailing time. If you wish to directly go to Macau then you can land at Macau International airport which is located on Taipa Island.

Though Macau was earlier known as a quiet and peaceful place, but many massive and flashy buildings, have recently popped up everywhere. What to say – these amazing tall buildings, known as casinos have changed the face of this quiet travel destination. Macau is now often referred as the Vegas of Asia. Fisherman’s Wharf
With mixed style architecture and a wide range of cultures, this place is good to visit, especially for young generation. Many newly wed couples can be seen clicking their picture against some amazing backgrounds in the area. To entertain you more, there are many cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy the live entertainment performances and spend a relaxing, wonderful evening.

Hac Sa Beach
As its name says, Hac Sa beach is covered by black sand. Since the water is relatively clean, you do not notice the darker colour of sand. It is only when you swim and find your swimsuit turning black, then you realize this fact. Also enjoy the salted delicious cod, grilled chicken and refreshing Sangria at the wonderful restaurants around the beach.

Largo do Senado
Locally known as ‘The Center’ or ‘Samalo’ as Chinese named it, this street is must-to-visit place for most of the tourists. The street is lined with Portuguese styled architecture including restaurants and many Chinese shops.

Rua de Felicidade
Known for Chinese architecture and culture, this place was earlier named as the Happiness Street. Surrounded with restaurants, stores, guest houses, it is a good spot to visit and hanging out.

Tourist season in Macau
The best time to visit Macau is autumn (October to December), when the temperature stays moderate with 20-25 degree centigrade. Though most tourists visit Macau during this season, spring (March to May) too is a good time to plan a trip to Macau. Whatever time you plan to visit, remember to advance book a good Macau hotel.
